NRPC Regional Plan

Proposed Regional Plan Amendments
The Northwest Regional Planning Commission (NRPC) is seeking your comments on the draft amendment of the Plan for the Northwest Region 2015-2023. Copies of the draft are available at the NRPC office, 75 Fairfield St., St. Albans, VT or below. The draft plan amendments include: minor corrections to the plan, the new regional energy plan, and other amendments to ensure consistent policy statements. NRPC invites comments on the draft amendments and on the extent to which the amendments are consistent with Title 24 V.S.A. Section 4302.

Regional Plan 5015 -2023
The NRPC Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to adopt the new regional plan at its July 29, 2015 meeting. The Plan become effective on September 2, 2015. The Board extends their appreciation to the regional plan committee who spent countless hours reviewing draft and guiding the process. The Board also thanks the NRPC staff for all of their efforts. The new plan will remain in effect for eight years, but the Board will review progress on the goals and actions at least once per year.

How are we doing?
NRPC regularly reviews our progress on the implementation priorities included in the regional plan. We have made progress on nearly all of our priorities in the first year since the plan was adopted. See the report on implementation of the regional plan here.

NRPC has developed an indicator report and trends to measure the region’s success and overall well-being. See below.
