Save Your Shoreline!
Northwest Regional Planning Commission (NRPC), in partnership with VT Agency of Natural Resources announces its 2012 Mini-Grant Program for Franklin and Grand Isle County Lake Champlain Property Owners. The grants will support projects that address shoreline loss resulting from the Spring 2011 floods, which reached historic levels in Lake Champlain.
The goal of the Shoreline Stabilization Mini-Grant Program is to support efforts that protect and enhance the Lake Champlain shoreline in a way that restores it to a more natural state to improve water quality, restore habitat and educate people by demonstrating low impact, vegetated techniques as illustrated in the Shoreline Stabilization Handbook.
