Champlain Housing Trust

The Champlain Housing Trust is a Community Land Trust that supports the people of Northwest Vermont and strengthens their communities through the development and stewardship of permanently affordable homes and related community assets.

Franklin/Grand Isle Community Action

As part of the Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity, they provide information about: statewide hotlines, financial assistance and housing navigation, Vermont tenants rights and resources, mobile home park rights and resources, fair housing and discrimination, the HOME family housing voucher Program, and weatherization.

Vermont Housing Data

Housing data.org, operated by the Vermont Housing Finance Agency (VHFA) provides Vermonters with tools for making more informed decisions about affordable housing, including:

    • Real-time directory of all Vermont apartments with rents made affordable by public, project-based subsidies;
    • Data profiles for Vermont communities; and
    • Housing-ready toolbox help communities assess their housing needs and identify gaps, tips for starting and enhancing housing committees, model zoning bylaws, outreach recommendations, and links to other state resources and guidance.
